Welcome to the Summer Term

with Miss Armstrong, Ms Larkin and Mrs Brittain

We are so pleased to welcome you back after our Easter Break for another term of learning. 

This half term, our topic is growing. Through our learning this half term we will be observing the seasonal changes as they happen and thinking about the different things we have seen through the school year. We will be doing a lot of growing our own plants and seasonal vegetables, cooking and tasting what we make! Of course we also have our trip to Ash End Farm coming up where we will get to see first hand some of the changes happening in the natural world at this time of year. 

In our writing this term we are all working towards putting together the sounds we have learnt this year to spell words and write simple sentences - please keep up with the practice you have been doing at home, it really makes a huge difference, thank you! 

In maths, we will be learning about the composition of numbers to 10, counting beyond 20 and sharing. Counting games at home and simple addition and subtraction questions to 5 will help support your child's learning greatly.
