DEPUTY HEADTEACHER VACANCY 

 

Salary range:        Group 2 L2 – L7

Start date:            September 2023

Closing Date:        12.00 p.m. Monday 24th April 2023

 

The governors, staff and children of St. Anthony’s Catholic Primary School and Nursery, in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Birmingham, are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Deputy Headteacher from September 2023.  

 

St. Anthony’s Catholic Primary School is a wonderful school, with a great reputation and a highly skilled staff. Our deep sense of family, community and togetherness enable our 233 pupils (including 23 in our Nursery) to thrive in a warm and caring environment, built upon a strong Catholic ethos.

 

We are looking for a deputy headteacher who:

  • is a practising Catholic with a clear vision and understanding of Catholic education;
  • is ambitious for all children and committed to ensuring all children reach their full potential;
  • is an experienced teacher who is passionate about teaching, inclusive education and meeting the needs of every child;
  • has experience as a leader, for example as an assistant head or subject leader (experience of RE curriculum leadership is desirable);
  • is organised and forward thinking, with the vision, drive and energy to initiate, lead and manage strategies to develop our talented team of staff and support their development;
  • is committed to the mission of the school, our Catholic Church and the vision of the Archdiocese of Birmingham;
  • can build on our links with our parish, our parents and the wider community.

Completed CES application form and all other CES supplementary forms should be returned by email to vacancystanthony3544@welearn365.com no later than 12.00pm on Monday 24th April 2023. Shortlisted candidates will be notified by Tuesday 25th April 2023. Assessments and interviews will take place on Thursday 4th May 2023

The successful candidate will be subject to all necessary pre-employment checks, including: an enhanced DBS; Prohibition check; Childcare Disqualification (where applicable); qualifications (where applicable); medical fitness; identity and right to work. Shortlisted candidates will be subject to online checks, in line with KCSiE Sept 2022. All applicants will be required to provide two suitable professional references as well as a suitable reference from their parish priest.
