Welcome to Reception

General Information

Reception are taught by Mrs Shepherd (Mon-Weds) and Mrs Slater (Thurs - Fri). Our Teaching and Learning Assistants are Ms Larkin (Mon-Weds) and Miss Richardson (Thurs-Fri). 

All of the children are heard to read regularly in school and have their reading books changed on a Monday or Tuesday. It is really important to hear  your child read at home at least 3 times a week and to make sure that their reading book and diary are in their school bags. 

Our PE days are Tuesday and Thursday with Mr Bromley so please make sure that your child has the PE kit in school.

In Reception, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and develop the children's knowledge, understanding and skills through play-based activities that are both child and adult-led. We have a lovely, large, vibrant classroom and outdoor learning space that the children have access to all year.
