St. Peter's Aid for the Needy (SPAN), our Parish Charity, was founded by parishioners in 1974 for the purpose of bringing Christian love in practical ways to those in need both locally and overseas.

SPAN Prayer

Give us, Father, 

a vision of our world, 

as your love would make it:

a world where the weak are protected

and none goes hungry or poor, 

a world where the benefits

of civilised life are shared

and everyone can enjoy them, 

a world where peace is built with justice

and justice is guided by love. 

Give us the courage and inspiration to build it, 

through Jesus Christ our Lord, 

Amen
