     Dodgeball Festival @ Newbold Comyn

    Monday 9th November 2026

    Dear Parents,

We’re excited to let you know that your child, in Year 5, has been selected to represent the school at a Dodgeball Festival at Newbold Comyn Leisure Centre, Leamington Spa, on Monday 9th November.

The children will take part in a competition against other local schools and will have the opportunity to represent the school.

    ⏰ Timings

The festival will run from 11.00am – 12.45pm.

    🚗 Transport

The children will be traveling on the bus to swimming, and as the event is immediately afterwards we will remain at Newbold and then walk back at the end of the competitions.

    🥪 Lunch & Snacks

Please ensure your child brings a packed lunch, as we may not return to school in time for school dinners.

They should also bring a healthy snack for a short break during the session.

    👕 Clothing

Children should arrive wearing their PE kit and trainers — please do not send them in pumps as the playing area can get very slippy.

They can remain in their PE kit for the entire day and do not need to bring their school uniform.

    🎒 What to Bring

    • 💧 Water bottle
    • 🌧️ Weather protection – e.g. a waterproof jacket in case of rain
    • 🥪 Healthy snack
    • 💊 Inhalers or auto-injectors, if required – clearly labelled and handed to staff on arrival

    ✅ Consent

If you are happy for your child to attend, please complete the consent form using the link below.

If your child is unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer their place to another pupil.

If we have not received a completed consent form by Monday 2nd November, we will assume that your child does not wish to attend.

Thank you for your support. We’re really looking forward to taking the children along and representing the school at the festival!
