Sports Hall Athletics @ Ryton Sports Connexion - Wednesday 11th February 2026

All Year 6 pupils have been invited to take part in a Sports Hall Athletics competition on Wednesday 11th February 2026 at Ryton Sports Connexion, Coventry.

The whole class will be participating, with pupils competing in a range of track and field events against other schools from across Central Warwickshire.

Event Details

• Time: 9.30am – 12.00pm

• Transport: Pupils will travel to and from the venue by coach

Unfortunately, due to the number of children attending, spectators will not be able to attend. However, we will ensure that plenty of photos are taken and shared with you.

Drop-off Arrangements

Children must be on the school playground by 8.50am, as we will be leaving promptly at 9.00am.
Please note that as we are sharing our coach with another school, we will be unable to wait for late arrivals. If your child arrives after departure, you will need to transport them to the venue yourself, or they will remain in school to work in another classroom.

Lunch Arrangements

As we cannot guarantee our return time, all children must bring a packed lunch on the day. Packed lunches will remain in school to be eaten upon our return.
Please also ensure your child brings a healthy snack to take with them to the event.

Clothing and Equipment

Children may wear their PE kits for the day and do not need to bring school uniform. Please ensure they have:

• A warm coat

• White or green T-shirt

• Black shorts

• Trainers (no pumps, due to the surface)

• Water bottle

• Any required inhalers or auto-injectors

If your child requires an inhaler or auto-injector, please ensure it is brought in a bag clearly marked with their name.
