Dear Parents,
We’re excited to let you know that your child, in Year 5, has been selected to represent the school at a Hockey Festival at King’s High, Warwick, on Friday 2nd October.
The children will take part in a competition against other local schools and will have the opportunity to represent the school, develop their hockey skills and, most importantly, enjoy the experience!
The festival will run from 9:30am–12:45pm.
Children should be dropped off at 9:15am at the King’s High car park, by the netball courts. They do not need to come into school first.
Children should be collected from the same location at 12:45pm and transported back to school. They will remain in their PE kit for the rest of the school day and will not need to change back into their school uniform.
We will require parent volunteers to help transport children to and from the event.
If you are unable to transport your child yourself, we will set up a WhatsApp group to allow parents to coordinate lifts. Please make sure that you arrange transport in advance and are aware of who your child will be travelling with.

Please remain with your child until they have been registered with Mr Bromley.
Due to the number of children attending, parents will unfortunately not be able to stay and watch the event unless they are volunteering as a parent helper. We will, however, make sure we take plenty of photos for you to enjoy!

Please ensure your child brings a packed lunch, as we may not return to school in time for school dinners.
They should also bring a healthy snack for a short break during the session.
Children should arrive wearing their PE kit and trainers — please do not send them in pumps.
They can remain in their PE kit for the entire day and do not need to bring their school uniform.
The school hockey kit will be worn over the top of their PE kit.
Shin pads are compulsory. We do have a few spare pairs available, but we cannot guarantee that we will have enough for everyone, so please send your child with their own pair if possible.
Gum guards are also recommended for the festival. These can be purchased relatively inexpensively.
Children should also bring:
If you are happy for your child to attend, please complete the consent form using the link below.
If your child is unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer their place to another pupil.
If we have not received a completed consent form by Wednesday 30th September, we will assume that your child does not wish to attend.
Thank you for your support. We’re really looking forward to taking the children along and representing the school at the festival!
