Mrs Armstrong, Mrs Formosa, Mrs Gill and Mrs Standen welcome you all to our Nursery page. Here you will find information about our Nursery Class and examples of what they have been learning. 

We  on the prime areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum: Communication and Language, Physical Development and Personal, Social and Emotional Development. Learning in these areas are vital as they support and scaffold learning in the specific areas of the curriculum (Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World and Expressive Arts and Design).

We have themes each half-term to support our learning, for example, one of our themes this year has been seasonal celebrations- Diwali, Bonfire night, the start of Advent and Christmas.

We have lots to look forward to each year including a trips to the theatre to see productions such as “The Gruffalo”,  walks in and around our local area, performing our very own Nativity play and then, later in the year, things like sport's day!

Every other weekend we send home a story sack for your to share and enjoy with your child. The sacks are themes around traditional stories like The Three Billy Goat's Gruff, and give you and your child the opportunity to read, share and play. Every Friday you can pop into Nursery to choose a story from our book corner that you can take home and share with your child. onday.
