Sports Hall Athletics @ Ryton Sports Connexion - Wednesday 21st February 2024
All Year 5 pupils have been invited to a Sports Hall Athletics competition on Wednesday 21st February at Ryton Sports Connexion in Coventry. This is usually a Year 6 event, but due to our Year 6 pupils being on their residential we have decided to offer the opportunity to our Year 5’s to help them prepare for their own event next year. The children will take part in Track and Field events against other schools from around Warwickshire.
The event will run from 9.30am-12.00pm and the children will be travelling by coach to and from the venue.
Unfortunately due to the number of children attending the event, spectators will be unable to attend, we will however make sure we take plenty of photos for you.
Drop Off
The children will need to be on the school playground by 8.50am as we will be leaving promptly at 9. As we are sharing our coach with another school we will not be able to wait for anyone running late. If you arrive late you will need to transport your child to the event or they will need to remain in school to work in another classroom.
Lunches
As we cannot guarantee the finish time of the event or what time we will return to school, we ask that all children bring a packed lunch on the day. Lunches will remain in school for when we return, however please ensure that your child has a healthy snack to take with them.
Clothing
The children may wear their PE kits for the day and will not need to bring in school clothes. Please make sure that they have the following:
Inhalers and Auto injectors
If your child use either of the above please ensure they bring it with them on the day in a bag marked with their name.
