St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School Parent, Teachers and Friends Association is a long-standing organisation which is open to all parents’, carers, and staff.

Our main aim is to foster closer links between home and school and raise funds for much needed resources to enhance all our children’s learning experiences whilst at St Anthony’s.

Each September, at the start of the academic year, we hold our Annual General Meeting. At this meeting a committee is elected to run the PTFA – usually consisting of a chair, a vice-chair, a treasurer, a secretary, a publicity and social-media representative and other volunteers to support the committee members. Please see the role description document below for more information about each of these roles.

As a PTFA, we are incredibly proud of the work we have done in school to raise funds and support our school community. We usually hold one main event each half term – for example, movie nights, discos, non-uniform days and of course our Summer Fair.

Funds raised by the PTFA are intended to provide the little extras that are not already provided by the school's main budget, often fun things and resources that make learning more interesting and exciting. Common items include computing equipment, musical instruments, playground equipment and smaller purchases.

We usually meet once a term to plan and organise upcoming events. All members of the school community are always welcome to attend these meetings, whether they play an active role in the PTFA or not. Virtual links will be sent out for those who cannot attend in person prior to the meetings.

There are many ways you can help support our school PTFA, we will always be grateful for any help we can get! For more information on how to get involved, please get in touch with one of the committee members listed above.

We are extremely grateful for the generous support we receive from our committee members, volunteers, parents, pupils, and all attendees at our events and can’t wait to see you at the next one!

See what's coming up next month!
