At St. Anthony's Catholic Primary School, prayer is a central part of our day. Prayer gives us an opportunity to spend time with God, talking to Him and learning from Him. We pray in lots of different ways, reciting both traditional and spontaneous prayers depending on our focus or the time of the year. Throughout their time at St. Anthony's, all of our children are taught traditional Catholic prayers, which continue to be used throughout their journey of faith through school. These prayers can be used at home to support parents in developing their children's knowledge of prayer and to continue to develop their children's understanding of what the words mean to us as Christians today.
