District Sports Finals 2023

Congratulations!

Your child has qualified for the District Sports Finals.
You can find details of their event below. Apologies for the short notice, we received the results late yesterday afternoon.

We are so proud of all our pupils for their efforts over the last few weeks and their unbelievable performance at the Area competition. We are taking more children to the finals than ever before and out of the 40 events we entered we were won 19, which is more than any other school in the area. For a school our size school this is amazing, so thank you for all your support and thank you to the children for all their hard work.
 

Event Details
The finals event will be held at Edmonscote Track on Wednesday 28^th June. The event will run from 12.00 - 2.45pm, we will be leaving school at 11.30am. We appreciate that you may struggle to get time off work, but if you can, parents are welcome to attend. If you are attending organisers have ask that parents remain behind the barriers at all times for safeguarding purposes.

Transport
We have been able to secure a minibus to drop the children off at Edmonscote, however they can only take 15 out of the 20 children. If anybody is available and could offer a lift to another child, please let us know on the consent form.

The children can be collected from the track at 3.00pm and will not need to return to school. If you unable to collect your child, we will need to arrange a lift back with another parent. Please let us know on the form if you will be collecting from Edmonscote or if they need a lift back to school.

Once we have received all responses, we will contact the parents offering lifts to confirm. 

Children will need:

• PE Kit including suitable trainers for events
• Named water bottle
• Sun Cream/Sun hat
• Waterproof coat (if forecast is poor)
• Inhalers/Auto Injectors in named bag
